I was thinking about my favorite actors over the years, and who I've met.

Michael Keaton, and Christopher Lee are two that I have met. They are two of my favorite actors as well. I've also met Sharon Stone, Lindsey Buckingham and John McVie (Fleetwood Mac). Bernard Hill gave me a shock at work a few months back (Theoden from Lord of the Rings)

I've also met recently at work... Barrie Osborne, Guillermo del Toro, and Fran Walsh (Lord of the Rings camp).

Have you met any "famous" folks? Any good stories to tell?

I have never met any actors or anyone famous. But I could see Michael Jordan in a resturant in Chicago one time. I figured there was no way to even get close to him. His group of guys was about 20.

Wow that would've been cool to meet him. I have always heard that Jordan is a bit rude. I guess it depends on where you "catch em"... Everyone that I have met has always been friendly to me. I also met guitarist Richard Thompson (Fairport Convention) about a year ago.

I don't remember the name of the black guy that was always at most of the games I ever saw. But I think he was a singer.. He wore black rimmed glasses. Anyway he was there also and walked about 3 feet from me.

I left two out! I met Adam West as well, and George Lowe once (The voice of Space Ghost)... Adam West was not so nice, George Lowe spoke to me for about 5 minutes and we had a good laugh. I mentioned Lindsey Buckingham earlier... when I met him, I bought him a bourbon and we chatted about tattoos, piercings, and what it's like being twins (My brother was with me). Awesome guy. :peace:

It was Spike Lee. I forgot to mention that I have had dinner with the entire Confederate Railroad band one night. They were going to give me free passes but I got into everything free at that bar. I also met Tracy Bird and quite a few more that I can't even rembember. I was actually charged addmission to one show once but when the manager found out he took me to the guy that charged me and made him give me my money back. I didn't complain the manager saw the my hand was stamped which they did when you paid. I always just walked in and no one ever said anything. Unless they were just saying Hi or something. There was one night they had brought in Female strippers. The manager asked me if I would run to Walmart and get some Poliroid film for the girls. He gave me $20 and when I got back, I couldn't find the manager so I took the film to the dressing room. Then I went to watch the show. The show was a bust for the bar. The town had about 20 strip clubs and only a handfull of guys showed up. I sat there all night with 2 one dollar bill's in my hand. All 5 of the Dancers would make their rounds and collect money from all the other guy's, but not me. At the end of the show I put my $2 in my pocket and went home. The next day the manager told me the one of the girls came and asked where I was. The girls were going to give me my own show in the dressing room for getting them the film. :bonk:

The only time i was in a "club" like that was in Atlanta. The place was called The Red Queen. This must have been 2001-ish? I was visiting my brother (who still lives there). It was a truly rancid place, but the girls were nice. Kid Rock was actually (we were told) in the back having a private party. I've since... lost the taste for... Gentlemen's bars. ;)
