I'm probably jumping the gun, but will we learn the 2007 molds soon? It seems like it was about this time last year that I ordered my 2006 set (which I LOVE!) and I'm looking forward to ordering the new set & getting some free stickers (love me some stickers!)

So, if you could have any set for 2007, what would you choose?

I really like the classics. They did a fine job that year. I wouldn't mind seeing some more classic characters. Big Mouth & Big Nose would be AWESOME. A new Peewit & Johan would be cool. Actually, a new Christmas set would be great, too. But, they've been done before. I guess I'm not real imaginative!

What would you create?

as every years, i would have the smurfs never made, we can see on msurf comics (saussage smurf, egg smurf, dragon smurf ...) and other carracters never produced ("grosse bouffe")

It's getting to be that time of year already, huh?

I'll ask Schleich when we can expect some news!!

Look forward to this every year. Can't wait to find out what the next set will be. We already know what smurfs are being discontinued so hopefully it shouldn't be too long until we find out the theme of the new set.

I really would like to see Schleich extend their line of "original characters" ...loved seeing Vanity, Harmony and others "re-issued". I do wish they would re-issue Johan and PeeWee again.
I"m a fan of the "original characters" and not always into the ones that are more on the "trendy" side, llke the whole recent "sports" series. Although I thought the marching band was unique, I'd much rather see the artists at Schleich actually take images of the Smurf Band from the TV episodes and actually design characters from those images. Also, Father Time and Mother Nature pvc's would be great, too! One thing I always thought would be great would be to have an original "Smurfette" when she had black hair...that would be unique.
Perhaps someday when I "acquire" Schleich :O

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... a line of Smurf "Friends and Foes"
Humnibus
Big Mouth
Hogathata (and Vulture)
Lady Edwina
Mother Nature
Johan and Peewit (new sculpts)
Gargamel and Azrael (new sculpt)
Scrouple (new sculpt)

And make them LARGER... with Schleich creating some really large pvc characters (now appearing in US Target stores)
theres no reason they can't make these characters 3 or 4 times the size of a normal smurf. Even if they made them delux figures at 9.99 each, I think most of us here would by them... yeah?

But otherwise.. I agree that I'd like some more timeless original characters. Enough with the "hip, modern, trendy" designs.

Target stores are selling Smurfs again?

My dream wish would be to have PVCs of some of the minor characters such as Miner, Weepy and Tracker. That and all their friends and foes.

Packaged with new English mini comics too.

No.. unfortunatley they arent selling "smurfs" but they do have a rather large Schliech section in their toy department. With animals, and fantasy creatures taking up most of the space.

Oh well. It would be nice down the line if they did.

I can only hope the movie does well enough to turn things around.

oh well yes the word i was looking for is "big mouth" (the one i calling grosse bouffe)
it's little funny because big mouth is in french "grosse bouche" and we are calling him "grosse bouffe" it's quite the same pronunciation but bouffe is a slang word like "puff"

Homnibus would be a great figure...I have always wished they'd made Gargamel, Azrael, Johann and PeeWee big enough to at least come close to being scale with the Smurf PVC's...
I also wish they'd re-issue Astro and his playset....and the Swoofs!

I think that all collectors really love the cartoon characters when Schleich makes them. I totally agree that Mother nature and Father time and Hogatha and all our favorites would be such an awesome line. I think they should reintroduce hefty too, Its sad that he isn't as available as the new classic characters, because what is a smurf village without hefty? I think they should make nanny and grandpa and the smurflings again, and puppy too. The main characters and villains have always been my favorites when putting a village together. I think an in-scale gargamel and azrael is way overdue. I can't wait to see what they chose as the new set, but something tells me it will not be more classic characters, despite what the collectors seem to want so much! As soon as we hear something, we will post it right away, so keep looking out!

I asked Schleich and they told me "not yet..." but sometime around the end of October we should have the news. Of course, I will accept preorders ASAP and there's always free goodies when you order here :)

I think I'd like to see a "Texas ChainSmurf Massacre" set. That would be pretty sweet, and it would appeal to the younger genration as well as the original fans!

On a serious note, though I know it would NEVER happen, I would LOVE to see a Star Wars set. Seriously, think about it for a moment. A Smurfette Princess Lea. A Papa Smurf Obi-Wan-Kenobie. A Smurf Vader!

Who would be the wookie? You'd think it would be hefty, but I could imagine it being the Squirrel that Smurfette kept as a pet.
