MushroomVillage.com was founded by "Pete," an avid Smurf collector and enthusiast, in June of 1999. He strives to provide collectors and enthusiasts around the world with a reliable source for accurate information and quality products for Smurfy play and collecting.

Pete's wife Hope is a true blue Smurf fan from way back who inspired his passion for these characters. Without her, there would be no MushroomVillage.com.

Suzanne Lipschitz is the founder and former president of the Smurf Collectors Club International, the world's largest Smurf club. In 2001 Suzanne brought 15 years of friendship and fun to a close when she ceased issuing the Club newsletter and asked us to take the torch, fostering the hobby of Smurf collecting, and providing free resources & the highest quality Smurfs to collectors around the world. Suzanne remained a vital contact and consultant on all things Smurfy until her passing on April 7, 2004. All Smurf collectors owe a debt to her - Smurf collecting would not be what it is today were it not for her early devotion to this hobby.

Melissa is Pete's sister and MushroomVillage.com's order fulfillment and customer service manager. She packs and ships all our parcels with tender Smurfy care.

Many, many other people contribute to MushroomVillage.com in many different ways. Thank you to the regular members of the Smurfy bulletin board for giving us all something fresh and new to check out every day, and to the many other MushroomVillage.com members who share their personal stories and experiences, translation, programming, graphic design skills, and so much more. These people are our greatest asset thanks to their allegiance to the SCCI credo; "SHARING IS CARING!" All of these people play a critical role in keeping MushroomVillage.com afloat. It could not be the important Smurf collectors' resource that it is, without the involvement of all of these people!
