We have just added the techno remix of the Smurf theme song to our "Smurfy Fun" area! For those of you who may be expecting the usual happy-go-lucky version, be warned that this remix is definitely pumped-up! We had heard that a techno Song featuring the Smurfs was making the rave circuit…is this the song we heard about? I don't know if anyone else noticed, but I have seen baggy pants and other raver clothes made from fabric featuring the Smurfs sell for up to $100+ on eBay! We’d like to try something new, and as usual, we are coming to the members of this list first. Do you have a Smurf-related web site? Would you like to add a Smurfy feature to keep visitors coming back? Would you? Huh? :o) How about the Smurf Bulletin Boards? There are two message boards; one for Smurfy chat, and the other for posting free buy/sell/trade ads. (http://www.esmurfs.com/smurfboard.html is our framed version of the bulletin board with our site navigation bar along the left side.) We would like to try sharing this Smurfy resource with other Smurf-related web sites. The operator of the partnering site would become a Team Member (a special icon identifies their posts on the boards) and a fully functioning copy of the Smurf Bulletin Boards will be mirrored to their site! I will remain responsible for all board maintenance, and all the files will remain on my server. This means no work for you, and the performance of your web site will not be affected. It won’t eat up any of your server space, and will not affect your file transfer limits, if you have one! We just finished our big Smurf outing, which we have every so often. It's a chance to gather all the Smurfs together and have a lovely time. There's swimming, dancing, games and lots of eating and relaxing. It's a Smurfy time! I can hardly wait for the next one. My favorite part is the Smurfberry-picking contest. Today was the first time in Smurf history that Greedy actually won! I guess the other Smurfs had teased him so much about never winning he got his Smurfs up and didn't eat a single Smurfberry until the contest was over. Of course once he was announced as the winner he Smurfed himself full of Smurfberrys. I bet he has quite a bellyache right now. Great Smurfs, what a fun day! - Papa Smurf See what the Smurfs are up to by e-mailing smurfs@cartoonnetwork.com 4) SPENCER GIFTS - RUMORS TRUE In the last issue of the Smurfy News we reported hearing rumors that Spencer Gifts' line of Smurf stuff was not selling well, and that the products would be yanked. A store manager was not able to confirm this in time for our last issue, but a recent visit proved the rumors to be true…all Smurfy merchandise has been reduced in price and there will be no more! If you have not had a chance to do so, get to a Spencer Gifts and grab whatever you can! They were carrying a limited number of figurines on cards, and one Smurfer reports adding a few to her collection at just $2 each! 5) NEW AT ESMURFS.COM Efforts continue to expand the offerings at eSmurfs. This week we added several dozen unusual color variations. These are harder to come by, so for the most part we do not have them in stock. We do have some of them for sale, but an inventory has to be taken before they go on the market, and when they do, it's first-come, first-served so keep checking back for the figures you want most! On a related note, we goofed several times getting the color variation pictures up, and it earned several sharp-eyed readers with free Smurfs! We recently received a shipment of officially licensed Schleich Smurf cotton tote bags with Smurfy emblems! We already told you about the small tote featuring Techno Smurf. Our latest shipment included the larger totes, and these feature a nice graphic of Puppy and the Smurflings! Honestly, I have to say the quality of the stitching in the handles is a bit lacking, I wouldn't try carrying your bowling ball in these, but the graphics are just Smurfy!
