Smurf collectors from all over Minnesota will be attending to sell, buy, and swap smurf collectibles. I plan to drive my truck there and open the tailgate to swap and sell all my smurf collectibles. I think this will be a great time!" Saturday, June 24 1:00-4:00PM Fitz's 3883 Beau D'Rue Drive Eagan, MN $5 for a table. $2 to Buy, Sell, and Swap! If you want to reserve a table, or would like directions and a map, or more information, call Marla at 507-634-3218 (Rochester Area) or Roy at 651-454-7614 (Twin Cities Area.) You can also email Marla at www_timelesstrinkets_com@yahoo.com. Thanks Marla, please tell us how it goes! 2) SEEN ON EBAY Most of us are familiar with eBay, here are some recent high bids for Smurf collectibles: Lot # - Description - Price 335793615 - Gardener (20028) with white buckets - $560 337644811 - Gardener (20028)with white buckets - $535 334294756 - Papa conductor (20092) with yellow jacket - $417 344235058 - Papa conductor (20092) with yellow jacket - $360 341089987 - Working Smurf telephone MIB - $283.03 336659269 - Philips clear light bulb promo - $280 330263508 - Cleaner (20052) promo Shell gas (purple trousers) - $271.60 334103003 - Philips battery promo - $250 We also saw 40247 Jokey with gift box sell for $255! Although, this is unusually high, he usually goes no higher than $100. It's no surprise that rare color variations and promo are leading the pack here. We are interested in anyone who has first hand knowledge of the Gardener pieces…some collectors speculate that the buckets are an add-on, and not true Schleich pieces. 3) BOOMERANG We are still waiting for Smurf sightings on Boomerang. As we have mentioned in the past, they were featured on the Cartoon Network commercials for Boomerang, and were featured in a trivia quiz on the Boomerang web site, but no sightings or word of a schedule on the channel yet…if anyone learns anything, please let us know so we can report it…we don't get the Boomerang channel on New York City cable TV :o( 4) THE SMURFS ENCHANTED VOYAGE We recently received this interesting info from our friend Andy: The Smurfs' Enchanted Voyage was a ride at Kings Island, Ohio featuring the Smurfs that was similar to Disney's "It's is A Small World." People would ride in boat around the world of the Smurfs celebrating the seasons of Winter, Fall, Summer, and Spring. It was added in 1984 and taken out during the 1991 season. Andy and his brother have started a Yahoo! club called "History of King's Island." And are seeking pictures, or more info on this ride. If you can help, or want to learn more, visit the club at http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/historyofkingsisland! Thanks Andy! 5) FREE INSURANCE ON ALL ORDERS!
