I will maintain the English Chat room and schedule and Christoph will maintain the German room and schedule. Both rooms will be available from both sites, and we will encourage other Smurf site webmasters to add these resources to their sites free! We hope this will help promote the Smurf chats and the hobby! More details to come in a future issue of the Smurfy News! The eSmurfs.com English Smurf Chat meets every other Tuesday from 7:00 PM EST to “whenever” and meets again tomorrow, Tuesday 8/15/00 in the chat room located at http://www.esmurfs.com/chat.html Visit http://www.smurfshop.com to learn more about German Smurf Chat. 2) SMURFS INTERNET POSTCARDS We found a neat site while poking around recently, http://www.kidsweb.de It’s a site for children, but features a Smurf area with a few neat things you can do, including sending Internet postcards featuring the Smurfs, comics and games. Check out their Smurf Angel cursor at http://www.kidsweb.de/schlumpf/preisaus.htm ! The site is in German, but if you do not understand German, don’t worry, it’s easy to figure out! 3) GOOD VIBES We have been getting lots of great feedback about our new searchable ID Guide and catalog. Plenty of people have written to let us know that the catalog is especially useful when they are trying to research a smurf that is unfamiliar. Just type in a few keywords based on what the figure is doing or wearing, and with the click of a mouse, you’ll have color images with variations, values and the year of issue! Seasonal shopping is also a snap (search Christmas. School (for back-to-school!), summer, etc.) and so is finding that special figure for someone (by searching their hobby, or career.) This newest resource is available from the header of every page of http://www.eSmurfs.com 4) NEW ITEMS eSmurfs.com has received yet another shipment of unsold store stock from Europe, and boy did we hit the motherload. This shipment is almost entirely Playsets and supers, and every last piece is Mint in the box! We now have inventory of every old playset, numbers 1 through 10. We also are stocked up on nearly all the supers. Many pieces are new to our inventory, including 40212 Trapeze, 40218 Piano, 40219 Rowboat, 40233 Helicopter, 40238 Kitchen (WHITE stove), 40241 Smurfette Plug Car (RED steering wheel, with the flower stickers, not painted on the car), 40243 High Diver, and 40507 Weightlifter (PURPLE suit). Again, these are all beautiful pieces, Mint(+) in unopened boxes, never assembled! It don’t get better than this! If you do add these pieces to you collection, please understand that keeping the boxes will continue to enhance the value of the piece! Do not ever throw them away!!! We also received some loose figurines, also unsold store stock. Many are simply stocking up on what we already have, but it’s worth noting that we got in 20409 Patriot (Dark Blue Flag). He’s been out of stock, so here’s your tip-off if you are looking for him. We also have a few rare Patriots with the light blue flag and many, many others...we have well over 95% of the range in stock at all times, all of it in guaranteed Mint condition. http://www.esmurfs.com/smurfshop.html 5) SMURFS SCREENSAVER Our friend “Peannnut” wrote to tell us they enjoyed last issue’s tip, where to get a Smurf theme for your computer desktop, but she asks have we ever found a good screensaver? I seem to remember that there is one, but can’t find it now…can anyone out there help? If you know an address on the web where something like this can be had, please let us know! 6) SMURFY EMAIL Do you know eSmurfs.com offers free e-mail accounts?
