Adding a picture to my message
 

Hi Pete or anyone!

I am having trouble adding a picture to my message. When I click above to insert image a box pops up that says "Script Prompt" Enter the text to be formatted???. Please help I have a toy show find I want to share with all!

Everything looks fine from this end, and no one else has reported this problem. It sounds like it might be due to a setting in your security settings - do you have Internet Explorer set not to run scripts or something?

Try loosening up the controls? There is nothing I can do unless I can replicate the error, and I can't, so I hope you can figure it out!

Pete i see what he is talking about!! Before a user was able to upload the image to the forum server, now it is asking for the url of the image and not uploading.

Wait a second - isn't he a she? I thought Bobbisbabe was "Bobby's Babe" or something like that?

I'll try attaching to this post, and if it won't work, I'm off to the vBulletin support forum...

Well, it worked! I'm able to upload - that was the "stickman" logo of course...

Gary & Bobbisbabe: you can't upload images at all? In order to get help, I have to be able to replicate the error for a tech. So long as the image upload works for me, I can't move forward with the issue!

If anyone can help solve this mystery, PLEASE put in your 2 cents. I'll do my share, but like I said, my hands are tied until I can make the error occur so I can show it to a tech. Is anyone else seeing this happen?

Please tell me the exact wording of the errors you see? Maybe I can still report the problem, but if I can't make it happen, I'm not confident we'll find a solution...

Pete - there is no error really, when you are posting - the box in which you write the text has a icon at the top for images, what bobbiesbabe is doing is clicking that instead of using the "Manage Attachments" button below to add images to the post. Gary :biggthump

Gary is right I am doing the wrong thing...didnt even see the box manage attachments!!!! :064:

OK, now I see what's up...

The little picture icon in the post form is to link to an image on the Internet and pull it into the post. The manage Attachments feature is how you upload an image from your local computer to the MushroomVillage.com server so we can see it :)

You click the "Manage Attachments" button below the box you enter the text of a new message - below te "submint" button, under "additional options" there is a "manage attachments" button. Click there. If you need more help, try the FAQ:
