Warner Brothers indeed is releasing the Smurfs: The complete first season on DVD anticipating to hit the streets the end of this year. In celebration of the Smurfs 50th Anniversary in 2008, my company New Wave Entertainment is producing in conjunction with WB on the release. We are producing a special feature documentary that reminisces about all the fond memories we had growing up with our favorite saturday morning cartoon as well as illustrate why it's essential for our younger generations to experience and absorb the same fond memories. We have been in contact with Schleich and IMPS/Peyo whom have generously agreed to allow us to use their likeness and figurines in the documentary.
