Old to Mushroomvillage.com but NEW to the Shroom Room!
Hi everybody! I have been buying smurfs from Pete for years but I never got around to chatting with other smurf-lovers. Guess its 'bout time!
I have to say that I am very proud of my collection. I have been collecting since I was 9 years old and still at it. My collection is not as big as I wish it would be but have aquired some interesting pieces. The crown jewel of my collection is my "I Love N.Y." Smurf. I would love to share it as I have attached a pic along with a few of his friends.
Hope I will be here for a while!
Carlos Orozco aka Charly

Thanks PVCBLUE. Love the fact that you are from Jamestown! Besides Smurfs, Lucille Ball is another one of my passions!

Welcome Charly.
Would like a NY smurf. Do you collect just the PVCs or other smurf stuff as well?

Hi Helen!
I collect 90% PVC's but I also have a few odds and ends, mostly ceramic cups and largely the buildings!

Hallo Charly,
I can't believe this is the first time you have gotten the urge to show off your collection!! The forum is the first place I head when i get something new. Welcome, I love to see pics of peoples favourites.

Looks like Charley forgot to attach the pic!
I hlope he still has it and shares it with you here :)
He very kindly offered to send the I love NY Smurf to MushroomVillage.com headquarters for my inspection! A big thank you to Charey for that!
I wass thinking, wouldn't it be cool if NY state finally did go ahead and produce the NY Smurf in the future since the Smurfs will no doubt make a reappearance by 2008 when the movie comes out?

Hobbes: Don't you think that's a pretty silly and irresponsible way to live?
Calvin: What a pretty afternoon...

Hiya Pete and Chrissy, I didn't forget to post the pic. I just can't figure out how to attach it. I keep getting a message that says file too large. I am still trying to figure it out so watch for that pic
Hey, Pete, my brother is still lingering around here. As soon as he goes back to the U.S. he is going to ship it off to ya. Everybody that comes here to Mexico never wants to leave. It's just so darn nice here. Giving you guys something to think about.

Hi Charly
You have some beautiful smurfs there and I would love one of those N.Y. Apples formy collection. I also love the glass stands.....they look very cool with smurfs on them.
Thanks for sharing the pics

Re: Old to Mushroomvillage.com but NEW to the Shroom Room!
Thanks Dyar! Wouldn't it be awesome if we could all get together and make one huge display for people to admire! And of course for US to play with
I know there is one in Europe, but someday I would like to see a Smurf museum in America with one of every Smurf ever made...including variations...moulds, dots, countries etc... Anybody else up for raising a museum?
