Hi, I'm making a Smurf village in Second Life (an online, 3D environment) and am currently working on the windmill and storehouse (have made a may smurf avatars, a house, well, smurfberry bushes, mushroom/dirt pedestals, cart, wheelbarrow (in progress), and other miscellaneous things so far).

I'm trying to find pictures of the storehouse but, while a windmill playset was made, I can't find a storehouse one. I'm wondering if anyone knows of specific episodes where these buildings (moreso the storehouse) are shown? I know of a few episodes (Gormandizing Greedy, The Last Smurfberry, and a couple others) but those feature mostly interior and/or limited exterior shots. I really just need a full shot, preferably with at least 2 different sides/views. I found a pic of a storehouse Smurfy Steve made but it's pretty small and hard to see any details. Anyone else made a storehouse? Sure wish a storehouse playset would be made! :)

wow! I really like that! Well done on the animation. I haven't attempted a smurf villiage in 3D before. I think I saw your post about this over at bluecavern. I might be able to find for you some shots of the storehouse on the smurf dvds. We have had 7 volumes of episodes sofar, although I can't remember for sure if the storehouse has been seen, it might have been. So I'll take a look for you if you like, sometime this week and take some screen caps. What was the episode where the storehouse was on fire and then it was winter and they had no food?? I think that might be on a dvd.

Not sure what episode that is--I really don't know the episodes well at all, but have been watching them more and more. I've gone through about 20 episodes but have only seen the storehouse in 3 of them so far.

I'm looking for other buildings too. I've seen what looks to be a mill (windmill?) in the Pushover Smurf episode (The Smurf Who Couldn't Say No) but am not sure if that's part of the windmill or a separate building for grinding wheat (and rocks?). The main mill stone that Pushover Smurf turns looks like it could be connected to the windmill's shaft but I'm not sure (don't know much about windmills).

I've also seen some sort of cafeteria or dining/mess hall.

Hey. Turns out I'm not too sure about the episode I mentioned. It wasn't on the dvds. I took a look through most episodes on the 7 volumes and only found this one scenes with the storehouse but it is only the close up on the door. Looking through your photos, you have one of these. So don't think these will be any help. But I've attached them anyway.

As for the Mill, I did see a windmill in an episode (but didn't take a capture), and it was different. I don't know if the windmill toy design is used in the cartoon, but this was a different looking windmill. I'll take a cap in a moment for you.

Are you thinking of doing the dam construction?
That would look great but would be challenging.

I have cinema 4D, which I learnt as part of my course the last 2 years so you are really filling my head with ideas and giving me inspiration here to try a smurf village as well!

here is the mill. Could be the mill that you have interior photos of.
This is from the episode "Sir Hefty". Handy has hooked up a creation to this mill that hooks up to a small fan, that fans the human knight in a hammock.

Yea, that episode with the storehouse in those pics is "Gormandizing Greedy".

I'd like to eventually make the dam (and bridge) but will need "The River Smurf" ("The Smurf River"? wacky translation?) made first, but that requires land...and it's expensive in Second Life, unfortunately. :/

Forget Cinema 4D and try it in Second Life instead! :) You can get a free basic account (no land but can build and keep stuff in your inventory). Use the link on my Second Life website so I get a referral and I'll split the refferal bonus (SL $) with you. :)
